Old Settler’s Music Festival loves our volunteers! We are a family of more than 600. Our family of volunteers help create the unmatched experience that is Old Settler’s. We rely heavily on volunteers to do many jobs including production, ticketing, safety, information, artist relations, and more. Whatever your interest, you’ll find your place in our volunteer family!
2023 Volunteer Teams
Artist Hospitality – Artist Check-In
Be the face of Old Settler’s and help greet the artists as they arrive. Ensure they receive their credentials and know the lay of the land.
Artist Hospitality – Green Room
Help ensure our artists have everything they need. Set up and tear down the green rooms where artists relax between performances, and make sure their hospitality requests are fulfilled.
Stage Crew
Make sure everything runs smoothly at the Main Stage and Campground Stage. Execute performance schedules as well as assist to coordinate and transition artists and crews.
Safety Crew
Help protect the safety of patrons, volunteers, and artists throughout the festival. Prevent unauthorized entry into restricted areas. Assist with parking and campsite load-ins.
First Aid
Provide basic First Aid during the festival. The First Aid Team accepts the following: Drs, PAs, NPs, RNs, LVNs, MAs, CNAs, paramedics, EMTs, medics, and some medical students. CPR is required, BLS and ACLS are a bonus.
Banners & Signs
Help set up and take down all festival banners and signage.
The ROLL
A group of Armadillos is known as a roll, and nothing keeps the show on the road better than this group of volunteers! The ROLL helps with all aspects of the festival’s operational needs.
Green Team
Keep the festival clean and hygienic. Help collect and haul trash and recycling, keep bins from overflowing, and pick up litter as needed.
Water & Ice
Help keep the festival hydrated. This team ensures that there is accessible water throughout the festival as well as transporting ice to designated areas.
Site Prep
Help make the festival grounds and campsites beautiful for all our festival attendees, campers, and artists. Work during the weekends, three months prior to the festival, clearing the land. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: cutting tree branches, mowing, hauling, burning vegetation, spreading mulch, creating and clearing roads and paths.
Campground Crew
Help ensure campers have everything they need. From answering questions to selling last minute or forgotten items like ice or an extension cord, this group is integral to ensuring a successful and comfortable stay at the Old Settler’s Homestead.
Box Office
Be the first to give our guests an Old Settler’s welcome when they arrive. Assist with distribution of credentials as well as ticket sales.
Merch
Help sell and distribute merchandise both for the festival and for the artists.
Platinum Lounge
Help provide excellent service to our VIP guests in the Platinum Lounge. From serving drinks at the bar to ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, this team will help fulfill VIP guests’ needs while in the Platinum lounge. Must be TABC certified to work behind the bar.
Platinum Concierge
Help Platinum guests coordinate their festival experience and the amenities available to them. Be the one stop shop for questions and resources to ensure our Platinum guests have a positive experience.
Guest Transportation
Help festival goers traverse the 145-acre Old Settler’s Homestead. Whether helping guests get to their vehicles or back to their campsite, this group is here to get guests safely and efficiently to where they need to go.
Kid Zone
Help with special activities for our kid’s program. Run an arts and crafts class, perform a magic show, provide face painting, and more. If you have a unique idea, write to let us know – we’re always open to suggestions.
Volunteer Commissary
Old Settler’s Music Fest would not be possible without our volunteers. Help keep them fed on the volunteer commissary team. Keep the commissary clean and stocked and assist our catering staff in serving food at meal time.
