Choosing Your Campsite:
Our forever home features three campgrounds — Armadillo, Banjo, and Collings. Together these campgrounds offer more than 29 acres of beautifully manicured, tree-covered campsite options. Whatever your camping preference — tents to RVs, teepees to yurts, buses to boats — you are certain to find the perfect place to set up your festival home.
All campgrounds support tent and vehicle camping and have electrical outlets available for purchase by permit. Campsites and electrical outlets are first come, first served and our volunteers are available to help point you in the right direction.
Port-a-potties, handwashing stations and potable drinking water dispensers are available in all campgrounds.
RV water fill and waste dump services can be purchased through Campground Headquarters. There are no RV water or waste hookups in the campgrounds.
What to expect at each campground:
Quietest campground with lowest camper density. Farthest from the stages and action.
Best for:
- Campers who want more space to spread out and more sleep
- Large RVs – Only campground with 50A service
- Only campground in which you can park your tow vehicle at your campsite without an additional Camping Vehicle Permit (still need a CVP for any sleeping vehicles)
- Designated Family Camping located here
- You are still likely to find a good spot without an Early Access Pass (i.e. Thurs or Fri arrival)
- Shuttle service available between Armadillo and stages
Most densely populated campground closest to all the action.
- Location of campground stage
- Expect late night jams, revelry and lively neighbors
- Fills up first and most RV spots, especially those near electrical panels, will be full by Wednesday or Thursday
- Tent spots will fill quickly as well, but there will probably be some availability for smaller tents and/or single-tent sites through Thursday
Slightly more breathing room than Banjo but same vibe and a little farther from the action.
- Close walking distance to campground stage
- Fills up quickly and most RV spots, especially those near electrical panels, will be full by Tuesday or Wednesday
- Tent spots will still be available up until the Friday/Saturday (primitive only – no electricity)
Primitive Camping
Prefer to get away from it all? There are beautiful, primitive camping spaces in the wooded areas along the perimeter of the meadows and in a clearing near the back of the property. If you can find room you are welcome to camp next to your car. No electricity.
Accessibility Camping
We believe that music lovers of all abilities should have the opportunity to enjoy the festival together and our staff is dedicated to making sure the camp and festival grounds are accessible to all. ADA accessible campsite is located in Camp Banjo. Contact [email protected] before the festival if you have specific questions regarding accessibility.
Campground Good Vibes Guide
Be considerate of your neighbors
The Old Settler’s campgrounds are famous for hosting pickin’ circles with intimate acoustic performances from amazing musicians. Walk around, meet new people, discover the unique vibe of the campgrounds, and enjoy the spirit of Old Settler’s.
Out of respect for the artists and your neighbors, amplified music is not allowed in the campgrounds. Quiet hours — no loud singing, playing or partying — are 2:00 am to 8:00 am. Please, no drums in the campgrounds.
Leave your campsite looking at least as good as it did when you arrived
Leave no trace is our motto. Our volunteers work hard to prepare the Old Settler’s Homestead for the festival. Please help us keep the site in good condition and use the trash and recycling bins available throughout the campgrounds. Leave your campsite in its original condition – or even cleaner than you found it.

The following are not allowed in the campground:
Campsites and electrical outlets are first come, first served. Flagging tape and rope may not be used to reserve space or mark off outlets in any of the campgrounds. One tarp/pop-up, no larger than 12′ x 12′, can be placed within 6 feet of your camping vehicle or tent to save space for your campsite. We recommend purchasing an Early Access Pass if you want the best campsite options.
Generator use is prohibited in all campgrounds. If you want power at your campsite you must purchase an Electrical Permit.
- All outlets are first come, first served and may not be reserved or marked off
- 20A and 30A Electrical Permits available for purchase for all 3 campgrounds
- 50A Electrical Permits available for purchase in Armadillo
- Numbered Electrical Permits must be displayed properly on your Camping Vehicle, either hanging from the rearview mirror or on the door of your trailer
- Daisy-chaining power supplies without an Electrical Permit is prohibited
- Bring extension cords to reach distribution panels
- Bring converters if your RV has a 50A plug but you plan to use a 30A outlet
- Old Settler’s will have a limited number of extension cords and converters available for rent at the Campground Headquarters.
No pets are allowed. “Service Animals” as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act will be allowed. Service Animals must be registered with OSMF ADA Services and be checked in at the box office for credentials and checked in with our First Aid team. Service Animals must be physically restrained at all times, and must remain with their registered human. “Emotional Support” animals and “Pets” ARE NOT covered under the ADA and therefore WILL NOT be allowed.
All types of fireworks are strictly prohibited
If you are caught setting off fireworks anywhere on the Old Settler’s Homestead, you will be asked to leave the grounds with no refund.
Out of respect to our neighbors and their acoustic jams, we kindly ask you to keep your drums at home and ensure any amplified recorded music (radios, bluetooth speakers, etc) can’t be heard beyond your own campsite.
For everyone’s safety, motorcycles, ATVs and golf carts may be used as your transportation for entering the campground but not as recreational vehicles inside the campground. Bicycles are fine.
We are serious about fire safety. Propane fire pits, propane grills, propane stoves, and propane lanterns are allowed. Open ground fires (wood or charcoal) are not allowed. Campfires must be in a fire pit raised off the ground. Absolutely no fires allowed if Caldwell County is under an active Burn Ban during the festival. Fires must be attended at all times. If our safety team finds your campfire unattended, you will receive one warning – after the second offense, your campfire will be extinguished.
No weapons, no exceptions
To ensure the safety and comfort of our Old Settler’s family, please don’t drive around in the campgrounds or leave your car idling. Once your vehicle is parked in the campground, you must keep it parked until your departure. If you are planning to come and go, park your car in the Meadow Lot.
Cans are easier to recycle and don’t pose a risk if they break. Please leave glass bottles at home.
