Executive Director
Talia Bryce
Talia Bryce joined the Old Settler’s team as Executive Director in January 2022.
For Talia, it has always been about the music and finding new ways to create the magic that music brings us all. Rooted in a family-fostered love of Folk music, she was inspired to pick up a guitar and start singing a little more Country during a stint in the Rocky Mountains.
She relocated to Austin in the early 2000s and just weeks after her arrival, Talia started a bluegrass band – The Lost Pines – which is still going strong today. Austin is also where she met and married Tym Bryce, who wisely counseled Talia in the need to diversify for a successful career in music. This led to the founding of Bouquet Bands, a booking agency that focuses on weddings and corporate events; the creation of Tillery Place, a secret-garden event space in East Austin; and Farmgrass, a nonprofit bluegrass festival supporting local farmers.
Talia and Tym now live at the end of a dirt road in Dale, Texas (only 15 minutes from the Old Settler’s Homestead!) with their two energetic kiddos and a growing collection of found dogs and cats.
